Dates

Any Date Available
From  £295
Day 1 - Friday
You will be picked up from Glasgow International Airport at 12 noon, and driven north via stunning Loch Lomond to Glencoe and the King’s House Hotel for our afternoon / early evening walk. Our hill is Beinn a Chrulaiste (857 metres) and we aim to reach the summit in about two hours, just before the light starts fading. From the top, using head torches, we will practice some navigation and return to the King’s House for our evening meal and a wee dram.
You will then be driven the short distance to your hotel where the pool and sauna await you before relaxing in the hotel bar.

Day 2 - Saturday
Today we climb Ben Nevis, which in winter is an enthralling experience. After breakfast we drive to the base of the Ben and make our ascent from Glen Nevis which is almost at sea level. The climb up and down the Ben usually takes between 7 and 9 hours depending on the weather and the group’s fitness.
We return to our hotel to again take advantage of the leisure facilities before heading to the famous Clachaig Inn in Glencoe for our evening meal, a warm cosy fire and a fine selection of ales and whiskies.

Day 3 - Sunday
After a more leisurely start to the day we visit the wonderful “lost valley” in Glencoe, a beautiful 3 to 4 hour walk with stunning views. Alternatively, if time permits we may grab another summit depending on how the group are feeling after yesterday’s efforts on Ben Nevis.
We depart Glencoe at approximately 3 p.m. to arrive back at Glasgow  International Airport by 5 p.m.

Equipment
You will need at least B1 boots (Scarpa SLs are ideal) with gaiters. An ice axe and crampons (these can be hired for £45 for the entire weekend). A full kit list will be sent out on completion of booking.

Cost:  £295 per person based on twin room share, otherwise a £75 single supplement applies.
