Knoydart Guiding

 

Knoydart is often referred to as Scotland’s last real wilderness, however there is a pub, The Old Forge, and the area is easily accessible by ferry from Mallaig. Adventure Nevis offer a 4 day itinerary which departs Mallaig on a Monday at 10:15. Accommodation choices include Knoydart House, B&Bs, bunkhouses, self-catering and camping. The hill walking is challenging with three Munros and one Corbett  planned for the week . All guiding is undertaken by Peter Khambatta.

Mon

Depart Mallaig at 10:15 arriving in Inverie at 11:00. Afternoon walk to Roinn na Beinne (441 metres) and Sandaig Bay.

Traverse of Ladhar Bheinn, the highest mountain in Knoydart (1,020 metres).    

8 - 9 hours

Wed

Meall Bhuide (946 metres) and Luinne Bheinn (939 metres), the other two Knoydart Munros.

Thu

 

Sgurr Coire Choinnichean, a Corbett just above Inverie (796 metres).

Ferry departs at 15:00
